Soon to be Rx-7 FD3S owner in Pretoria South Africa

Hello Guys

Thank you for this awesome forum . My Name is Markus and i am 32 years old and live in South Africa . I am originally from Germany but emmigrated here in 2009 . I dreamed of having a RX-7 FD since over 10 years . And today i finally bought my RX-7 in Japan
It will still take 2-3 months till its finally at my doorand street legal registered .
I am so excited .
I see a couple of FD's every now and then in Pretoria and Johannesburg . But cannot find any owners clubs here .
I would like to meet some people that also have FD's arround my area that want to go for breakfast runs .

Attached the pics for the car my importer gave me for now (front wheel is flat thats why there is a spare , and the front bumper needs fixing )
Hope they will send me more pics of my new baby soon

Yes excited like a little child waiting for Christmas .took a long 10 years to come true . Drove a FD once from a importer in Germany . That's when I realized "no rotor , no motor"

Condition of my car is immaculate and only has 60k km's for a 92 model Are you importing yourself or have you gotten someone to import for you?

Some updates

Finally received my VIN number today . the car was Produced on the 26th April 1996 so definitly a Series 7 .
It is a Type RS , so bigger brakes , 4.3 Dif and Bilstein Shocks from what i could find on the NET . Does anyone know where i could find a digitial Copy of the Brochure for Series 7 ? I want to know what else the differences are . The net is full of conflicting info and the Wikipedia article about Series 7 is rather short .
Attached the original auction sheet , just can't read japanese haha

Well in South Africa they are very rare . Although I saw one for 180.000 rand ( 18K$) with a na 20b . But it's 1993 . Mine costs me all in all 80.000 rand (8K ) including all import costs and road legal ... We have a 40 percent import duty and 14 % VAT . These cars are so cheap in the land of the rising sun

Hi Waz

Well do not worry about the auctions , usually cars on auction come up multiple times , as they dont always sell right away .
You can check yourself if a car has been sold or not . www.iauc.co.jp ( u need a account for that ) but Bugmenot.com - login with these free web passwords to bypass compulsory registration can help with that :-)
Are you looking at the silver one in centurion thats on gumtree ?
I can see it says cosmo engine in the ad , is it a 20b ?
If you are looking for bonnets bumpers or aftermarket fenders , there is a guy in Rosslyn (PTA North )
that makes some parts for the FD . He is quite cheap . Fiberglass Bonnet is 2000 ZAR and CF 4900 ZAR
I should get my CF bonnet this weekend .
My car lands in Durban Saturday . I will get it in 2-3 weeks (once Natis is done )
