So Cal car club member here working on a 10-11 second RX7 track only project
What's up guys? I'm Adam, I drive a Procharged 6.3L 6 speed C3. I'm in a so cal car club and we are building a 2nd gen rx7 (RX-Snake), we're dropping in a forged SBF with a 144 weiand blower back up by a 4 speed top loader. Not sure if we're going to go with a stronger 2nd gen IRS diff (from the tubo model I think) or a solid 8.8 out of a Ford Exploder. I'm voting for the 2nd gen IRS, since this car will see some road racing action hopefully.
We're installing the cage in the car right now and we're working on getting some better flowing heads and a monster cam for the forged SBF. I've been an engine guy for some time now but since I'm the only one in the club who does paint and body, I was designated the paint/ body guy. I need to flare out the rear fenders as much as possible, and I will be laying out a custom glass (nascar inspired) nose. (Hopefull you guys will be able to advise, that's why I'm here primarily) The car will have a tri-stage paint job with a white base, a fine particle blue intercoat pearl and possibly a scratch resistant clear. We will have our club logo (motorgen) in candy orange letters on the side. And this logo... somewhere.
Although I'm a Chevy guy, I do have some rice in my veins. My uncle has had 3 RX7s, one being a hopped up 3rd gen. I love that car
Here's the car so far.

Here's the logo (not finished, and the R will be just an outline like the X)

Here's some the body work and paint that I did on my car. It's a 78 with a 73 front bumper and an 82 rear molded in. Emblem holes and antenna hole deleted. Lights all done in candy black.
