She's Finally Mine
Hello Everyone... I'm very active in the forum world, and, since I have many cars, I'm a member of many forums... I probably need professional help, but oh well. Anyhow, when I was 2 years old, my aunt bought a 1983 RX-7 GS 5-Speed.... I said that I wanted it when I was a kid, and she promised it to me. I don't specifically remember, but, almost 30 years later, I sold her my beautiful Lexus SC-400, bought myself a Mercedes, and inherited the RX-7... All 355K miles of it. I'm new to the rotary world, but not the car world, the rotary is about as foreign as it gets to me... I understand 12a's are hard to come by, and I'm sure mine is unable to be re-built due to the age and mileage... It still runs, but it smokes. The drivetrain really needs to be replaced.. Engine, trans, rear end. Interior is pretty bad, exterior needs work, but it is a labor of love project. The only thing I've done so far is tuned it up, gotten the A/C to work (it never worked in the whole 30 years she owned it) and did some interior cleaning and general maintenance. I have questions.. I will post. I look forward to meeting some great people on here.
