I bought a wrecked 1980 RX-7 my senior year in high school (1989). I did a ton of work to it, gave it a new paint job and had a really nice looking and running car. Unfortunately, it was submerged in a flood my freshman year of college in Houston, Texas. I sold it to a man and his son in Prescott, Arkansas because at that time I didn't know how to fix it. I wish with all my heart I could find it again. I've tried to find a source for VIN numbers for that year but have had no luck. I still have the car's State Farm insurance card from 1990-1991. VIN#SA22C599130 Anybody got any ideas for me? Thanks.

 

It may be difficult to find given that carfax won't pick up the vin due to it not being a 17 digit vin. I would also make a post in the 1st Gen section reference the car and include any pictures you may have of it. If no pictures are available, be sure to post the trim level, interior and exterior colors, and any other unique identifying marks or features that the car had.
