I'm Jim, 72 years old, overhauled 64 GTO and 67 chevy truck, programmed using FORTRAN in the 60's, and having a hellova time with all the controls and crap on newer stuff, and catching on to getting around the internet. New owner of 79 RX7 and have found enough information on this site to get it started and timed. Coil wires were crossed and it was a lot of fun trying to get the trailing timing up to the mark. I really appreciate the information available, but am highly intimidated by the expertise evident in the threads. Most of the topics are much further down the road than I can reach. I can't even find the hot start relay. I need some help understanding why my factory tach acts like a manifold pressure sensor, but understand that I need to go to the technical section to ask about that. So here I go...
