RX7 FC Turbo 2 Drift Project

Hello.

This is my newly purchased 1989 Mazda RX7 FC Turbo 2 Vert which I plan to turn into a competition drift car.

It's in good condition overall with a few patches of surface rust and is just a little pink on the rear. It does require a rebuild as there's no compression on the front rotor at all, although the rear is in the 6s. This is perfect for me however, as I want to make it capable of circa 600bhp, so I already have an excuse to tear the engine apart and get porting done. It's going to be a track only car so it won't matter that the porting makes it unbearable to live with daily driving.

I plan to do the engine rebuild with a friend of mine who has rebuild his RX8 in the past so is familiar with the rebuild process, even though I'm new to the process. I am familiar on how the rotary works which will help things.

If anyone has any resources on rebuild guides it would be helpful and if anyone has any resources or lists of parts I'll need to reliably make over 600bhp, that would also be appreciated!

Thanks all
Matt
