Hello from someone lusting for an FD

Hey guys, as the title states Ive been searching for an FD. I’ve wanted an FD since driving one all the way back in high school. I’m driving an F80 M3 now and most recently had a E60 M5 and Evo X. After lurking for a long time I decided to set up my account as I get more serious with my search. I’ve already learned a lot and looking to contribute in the years to come.

Welcome! Be patient and buy an FD with a documented service history. Wait for the right color and options. And keep us posted on what you come up with!

Thanks. I was about to pull the trigger on a non-running automatic however I learned some self-restraint. Being patient sure is hard though.

It is much more affordable to buy a car in decent shape then to buy a piece of crap and fix it up. Only caveat is a roller in very good shape that needs a new engine. If you find one like that add approx $10k to the roller price for a new engine (short block) and install. If you need all the parts to make a long block, add another $5k-$10k depending on what route you go with for a turbo.

Interior condition should be a major consideration. Used interior parts that are no longer made are pricey (esp black).
