I have both of them in my garage right now... and yes the 240 is more reliable, better on gas, more practical easier to get parts for and cheaper to maintain in general, easier to drift, faster stock for stock (sr20det vs t2 and gx/l vs ka24de.) cheaper to upgrade, I'd still pick my 7 that doesn't run right now over it any day to make me happy in my pants

I was just like you looking around for a 240sx, but now I'm getting an '84 GLS-SE for $500. I'd pick the RX-7 over the 240 just because there new and interesting to me. Good luck with your decision.

Better idea! Move to Japan. You can get whatever and it will be way cheaper. You would have to learn a language and be somewhat educated (or attend university there) to get a visa, but come on, it's Japan!

You won't have to worry about your Rx7 getting stolen in Japan.

I couldn't really tell ya.

Both cars are good cars. I dont think i could choose one or the other so i'm getting both. I'm getting started on fr cars with my fc but in another couple of years or so i'd like to get my hands on an s13 coupe.

Aparently alot of people. Nissan makes solid and fun cars. 300zx, 350z, pulsar, skyline, g37, gtr, s12 tru s15 chassis........ Hell, even the hardbody pickups are straight because they have a ka in them. SR20det drops right in and turbo ka's are business.

RX7's are easy to work on in my opinion. I don't know if I would ever own a second Gen though I hear they can be quite fast.

Yes! this is true, it surprised me after taking out all of the interior and sound deadning material on the car. By the way the engine is still stock no other mods yet.

Forgot to add that I installed a GTU hood on my base model RX7. You'll notice the change right away.
