Hi guys, been away from this forum so long it was easier to create a new account. Great to see the site and RX7 interest strong!
My first RX7 was a 94 Touring, followed by a 94 R2. Both moved on in favor of racing and other pursuits.
My remaining rotary 'stuff' includes an 89 GXL SCCA ITS race car, an 89 GTUs inert object, and a pile of parts of various FC and FD vintage. The race car was built to comply with SCCA specs, so is fully gutted, with Mitch Piper-built cage, racing seat and harness, headers, custom exhaust (also by Mitch Piper), coil-overs, camber plates, NASCAR style 3-pc front sway bar, 4.88 Torsen limited slip, rebuilt motor (by Bret DePedro), cooling/safety/reliability mods, etc. At some point, racing became too time consuming, so I started to autocross it in SCCA C Street Prepared. Now looking to turn it into a DE car.
I won't have time to restore the GTUs, so am looking to sell as-is or part out. It's missing the 4.33 diff, tail lights, hood and headlight covers. The motor was not working according to its previous owner, so likely needs to be rebuilt. Paint looks good from afar but is far from good - was resprayed in original color. I welcome suggestions on what a GTUs roller like this is worth?
Welcome to the forum!! Sounds like you've had an awesome journey when it comes to the RX-7 and to racing! Happy to have you aboard! As far as selling the GTUs, you can post an ad here on the forum in the marketplace section. I think it would be an incredible car to restore and if we were closer, I would make you an offer on the car!
