Just a quick hello. I've been a very long time lurker, and up until today had no reason to join because you fine gentlemen have asked all my questions before.
I'm building a Factory Five Racing 818, and to date I'm the only one doing so with a wankel. I just got it fired up and idling this week, and figured it was time to share and start asking questions. Awesome build, just poked through your build thread a bit and watched the idle video..... sounds fantastic IMO
Consider using a Lisle funnel to bleed the cooling system of air--- works wonders and I never attempt to bleed air out of an FD cooling system without one.
What made you choose such high pressure caps? 20 and 16 psi are higher than I'd recommend running on that engine...... 13 psi is the norm for most FD guys with 50/50 or similar mix.
The reason for the 20psi cap on the rad is to effectively eliminate that cap as it's slightly lower than the rear cap. And 16psi was the standard one on the Subaru rad, and a fairly standard pressure, so I didn't think anything of it.
I've been told there's funnels that seal around the cap housing, so I might try one of those.

It's called a Lisle funnel, they're ~$20 on Amazon. Highly recommend it
I'll have to order one. I'm going to replace the 20psi cap with the Subaru 16psi and take note of which one wants to vent first and change that one to 13psi.
Any thoughts on these plugs? I'm not sure how they can be so different. My AFR's are rich at idle 10.5, but the leading plugs are burning clean, and the trailing are black with fuel deposits on them. I'm starting to think they're not firing because I can wipe the fuel off them with my finger. I've never had a rotary before, but it doesn't sound quite right. Sounds like there's an exhaust leak, but there isn't.
Those plugs look odd indeed, agreed that the leadings basically look brand new. There's barely any run time on them right? The leading plugs do the majority of the combustion and normally the car won't start if just the trailings are firing--- or not very easily anyway, and it'll run poorly. Have you gotten more run time on the car? What's the vacuum look like at idle?
