MA Rotary love

Hello all, My name is Joe i'm from Boston Ma. I have always been fascinated by small engines. So I bought an integra and nothing good comes from the Honda scene so I've come to learn, after a brutal car accident and 1000s down the drain I sold what was left of the old integra. Now that brings me here engines with small displacement that have great potential. Ever since I took a ride in a bridge ported FB I was rotor struck. The basic principal of rotary engines is just fascinating. I would like to contribute to Mr. Wankels legacy and the rest of the rotary nation. We are a rare dieing species.

I am due to buy a 86 gxl tommrow wish me luck

Well Joe, "tomorrow" was yesterday, so how did the whole deal go down? Inquiring minds need to know.

Welcome aboard to RX-7 Club! Glad to hear you got smitten by the little spinners! ...and yet another Honda guy comes to the Dark Side.

The owner said he had not started it for awhile... i new we where in for a treat! she started right up! died here and there until warm and a couple of throttle pulls to clean the gunk! ......she warmed up from there we took her for a drive ..........trying to leave the drive way it would die constantly! we left the guy called us back said he fixed it...we diditnt go back and she was sold! i assume the owner did fix it =( not a good day!

So heres some pics for now. My camera died on me while i was out hope fully i will get more tonight.

These pictures do not do this car justice in a matter of how clean it is! The inside and the outside, everything is together and FULLY FUNCTIONAL. The out side is completly clean except for the missing mirror on the passenger side door. There is not one spec of rust on the car it is a BEAUTIFUL S5. It came with everything the owners manual , fatory floor mats, stock radio(not installed) haynes repair manual. It is so quiet and unmolested. Will post more later

I've heard sunlight does a number on those burgundy interiors. Make sure you keep her covered to avoid sunbleaching and other fun discolouration. I should be getting an '86 GXL shortly myself if all goes as planned.

Thanks guys. I just don't know what to do with her she's soo stock! It's hard to come by fcs untouched like this one, I don't know if it would be right to molest it. I kind of want to keep it stock but on the other hand a mild street port and exhaust is what I had in mind. For now Im just having fun with her as she is
