FL RetroMod RX2 or maybe 3

Greetings,
I am building what will look reminiscent of an RX2 but with modern body-lines and an RX8 suspension. Ever since I saw the Rocket Bunny RX3 Boss body kit my thoughts were confirmed (retro is cool), but I would never molest an FD with such a body kit, but the RX# Boss body kit is very sexy nonetheless. I recently saw a RX8 in a junkyard next to a SN95 Mustang, the RX8 has seems to be a good candidate for a serious face-lift, and because of its awesome suspension I have committed myself to this RetroMod RX2, maybe 3 project. Ultimately Mazda failed to design a visually appealing car when comparing the RX8 to the RX7FD. The RX8 is also under powered in comparison to the FD. Although the RX8 has a superior suspension it is ugly in my opinion. We naturally expect the successor to exceed the predecessor.

I am excited to start this project and possibly rely on the RX7 Club for guidance, as this is my first attempt at building a rotary powered vehicle.

Thanks for having me.

My dad used to buy and sell RX2s and RX3s when I was very young. I'd love to find a clean one to buy and give to him. I look forward to your success too.

This will be quite the undertaking... I can appreciate the plans though. What motor are you thinking of putting in since you agree it's underpowered? 2 or 3 rotor?

Initially we are going to run the stock rx8 set up, but we are working on a subframe in order to fit the 20b and 26b.
