Reintroducing myself
Hello Rx7Club!
My name is Matt and I created my account a year or 2 ago. I've been trolling around collecting, storing, and retaining all the information this awesome forum has to offer. I've been researching and looking into buying an FD for a lil over 2 years now. I've learned so much from the forum and have just picked up the check from my credit union to go pick up my FD on saturday. It's a beauty. A true garage queen. Its a 1993 VR Touring with 40,500 original miles on it. All original un molested. I went and test drove it and looked at everything I could. It started up on the first try, boosted ~10 - 8 - 10 [had a $25 boost gauge :P], AST was FLAWLESS looking, and didn't leak a drop of fluid. Imperfections are extremely minor [small tear in the seat]. It pulled 17" vacuum at idle without AC and ran strong. The idle was a lil eratic but it hasn't been driven in awhile [owner broke his foot in a motorcycle crash]. I'm extremely excited to pick this thing up. I'll post pictures when I get it. It's a 4 hours drive home so I plan to change the oil, filter, and spark plugs before heading home. I'm also going to bring a gallon of distilled water [just in case ]. Does anyone have some suggestions for other things to check for the first drive home?
thanks!
Matt
