Just picked up my first Mazda, an '87 RX-7 SE with 173k on the clock. This evening I brought home it's new heart, a 2000 5.3l LM7 from a Suburban. Have wanted to build a RWD Turbo V8 car for some time and finally things seem to be falling into place. Plans also include some styling mods, a 5 lug swap, wheels, and some interior mods. Looking forward to reading through the boards seems to be a ton of info on here.

 

With some help from the forum I have been able to answer a bunch of questions and meet some locals. In the meantime I have taken the 13b out of the car and in the process cleaned, prepped and painted the subframe and swaybar. In addition I have begun cleaning up the engine bay, welding up all of the holes that will no longer be needed once the V8 goes in.
