Hello everyone!

I suppose I should explain my circumstances. My friend moved in with me about a year ago and had bought an RX7. Through a great series of events it now sits in a storage unit, no engine, with no further progress on it. He has since moved out but I asked him about the car and he is thinking about selling it. I don't for how much yet but I decided to do some research on what I may want to do with the car should I pick it up.

Details I know:
'83 RX7
Had a 12a however it's long gone
5 speed trans
blue, in great shape outside
interior needed work

So hello to everyone! If anyone has any idea of what I should do regarding the no engine situation let me know. I am thinking just but a 12a back in but the 13b swap seems interesting.
