Hi all. I'm one of the blessed that was able to buy a 1985 RX-7 off the showroom floor, and still has one. Yes, an owner for 25 years. Having said that, this is my first post on RX7Club.com. I've lurked on the site for a bit, and am just amazed at the wealth of information. I've been living in isolation for no reason!

More about me - I live in a small town in Connecticut, having moved from Chicagoland 16 years ago. I wanted a sports car since before college and was able to buy one in 1985. It's my toy and I love it. As for the car - its a 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE. It's beautiful (but aren't they all). I drive it when the sun's out, or when I can see the moon. I misjudged the rain about six time in the last 20 years. Before that it was a daily driver. The result, <51,000 miles on it and it still looks and runs fantastic.

It's a "steel blue" (sorry, I don't remember the official color name), with gray cloth interior. Mechanically it runs like new. No squeeks or rattles, everything works (except the AC needs recharged), even the little joystick and power antenna.

Well, so much for my first post. Back to reading threads......
