Old Man FD find

Hey everyone! We’re up in Canada and have been looking for an FD for quite some time now but they keep getting scooped but we finally got one! It’s a 1993 FD with only 68,000 km ( not miles ) and fully original! My main question with all the research I’ve been trying to do is are people still recommending to premix fuel with the stock oil pump still working?? Thanks! Any other advice is appreciated we love this car!

Congratulations on the win. It is worth a lot more than you paid. Haha. But now you won't want to ever sell it.

Our mechanic recommends that we do premix even with the OMP working, but only at half the recommended amount.

Reason: Oil pump, being old, could fail without you knowing.

It seems the car was very well maintained, but be mindful of its age.

A lot of the plastic parts will want to break, simply due to old age.

Be particularly careful working around the engine bay.

The interior is 10/10 it’s actually insane how it’s still in such great shape! And yea we have maintenance records back from 1999 on it other than that the man just gave us his story on how he drove and babied it haha
