Noob, seeking advise..
Hey guys,
I guess let me start by introducing myself. My name is Raj. I usually surf on M247 and MOCC. I live in the BayArea, CA. I currently own a 03 Mazdaspeed Protege. Ive always wanted an rx7 and always liked the FCs.
Just recently ive been considering getting a second car, I spottted a 1991 FC3S. The car has about 170k and needs a good amount of work but is selling for cheap. The thing that bothers me is that it has a blown engine. Seller says it has a blown apex seal. Now, how difficult/costly will it be to get this fixed? Or do i need another engine? I figured i should come to the experts before i commit to anything. I must include i dont know much about rotory engines. Thanks, Raj.

You'll need to tear the engine down to say for sure... But an apex seal usually takes out the rotor and rotor housing.
It's like a piston ring tearing up the cylinder bore and the piston as well in a piston based engine.

i was thinking of just swapping out motors. You guys dont think 800 bucks for a rx7 is good? I was thinking a motor would cost me 1000 and i have a friend that can swap them.
