howdy i recently bought a 83 rx7 (donor car) im using the parts from it for a rotary conversion into a classic vw bug. i have extensive vw knowledge but have never even seen a rotary engine till yesterday when i started tearing this one out of the car. got the exhaust off and found that the front rotor and most likely housing are shot. apon inspection i saw some nasty scoring on the apex and it was making 0 compression. so i need to tear the engine apart once i get it out of the car and see if i can replace the rotor and housing or if the irons are shot too
