AL Non-RX7 Mazda Owner Just Poking Around

Hey, guys. My name is Chris Spalding, and I'm a Street Mod-class autocross Miata nerd from Huntsville, AL. I'm honestly just padding the post count, lol. Several of my buddies have RX7s, and I'm tired of getting links from the classifieds here and not being able to see them.

I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, which is life consuming, so I struggle to find time to work on the car, but it's progressing, even if the progress is slow.

At this point, it has most of the suspension finished (finished enough, at least), as well as a modified and coated Boig 4-1 header and full 3" stainless exhaust, MSPNP engine management, and RC 750cc injectors (soon to be RX8 showerhead 425s), all in preparation for a Supertech 2L big bore motor with a 99 high port head and a Flyin Miata Ubercharger Whipple 1.2L blower kit.

The exhaust in progress (those are Hindle Titanium Supersport cans; the whole exhaust from the ports back weighs less than the stock exhaust manifold/ downpipe):

Exhaust finished:

How the car sits now:
