No FD yet
Hey all,
Joined forum for a the love of a FD.
I remember in my early teens loving the looks of a FC, of course too young to drive. Then i remember seeing my First FD, and fell in love with the lines, (i should say curves).!
As usual life goes on,, got into lifted diesel trucks and the duramax engine in the GM truck line. Have spent thousands and thousands of dollars overs the years on truck projects, but never any car projects at all.
Some people like what others like, end up with the same rims as a buddy or same truck, and you put the same stuff on them,, tires, Rims exhaust etc.. but in the end you end up with the same truck/car.
I think that is why i like the FD RX7 so much, being older now, and having the Wankel under the hood, it would be a lot harder to get the guy down the road to have the same car as you.
I got to go to New Zealand for work quite a few times over the last couple of years, and the rotary is very popular in New Zealand and Australia, got to see some sweep RX2, 3, and FC, FD 7s, with serious rotary mods! ,this just solidified my interest/obsession in the Rotary engine. This may sound weird, after spouting all the above, i have actually never driven a RX7 or even a rotary for that matter.
That's why I'm here, I'm on the hunt, the hunt for the right FD to start my new project. Been looking at quite a few RHDs in Vancouver BC, but am leaning towards spending extra money for a LHD FD state side. LHD FDs don't seem to come up very often in Canada.
I am sure i will talk to you all as soon as i have an eye on one!

Already not off to a good, start, read a bunch of stuff but somehow missed the instruction on Intro. Sorry, the name is Geoff, from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada.
if its a big deal maybe a Mod can change the title.?
