Bought my first FD project about a month ago. Plans are to get the gutted interrior completed, get it painted, then, start working on suspension. Already installed some new RS3 tires. Long term plans are to get one of the new ecotec3 v6 engines in it. I plan on keeping the factory trans and ppf to keep costs down. I love the chassis, But not so much a rotary fan (flame me if you will). I'm looking for a thermally efficient engine that gets 30+ mpg. I'm shooting for 350 whp on e85 and around 2600 lbs. It currently weighs 2500 and is only missing about 100lbs of interrior. The lv3 should be about 200lbs less than the rotary from my estimates. Gearing will be figured out after the fact. I will drive on the rotary for a bit to save up for the swap and get the chassis squared away.
