CA Newbie From CA

Hey my names Dylan, I am picking up a 1986 rx7 sometime soon, it needs a motor so I'm researching the 13bt swap. Currently a well known member on my.is I have a 2004 is300, but wanted a project car so here we go! I would greatly appreciate some advice on motor swaps as well as anything about these cars for I know close to nothing; especially rotary's!

Welcome.

S4 engines are easier to swap in, but S5 engines are doable. Down in LA area there are so many rotards and shops that can assist you in this.

Welcome to the club man, I used to have an 86 too, they're sweet cars, but you gotta take care of them, or else they can bite... hard, a big ole chunk out of your wallet

Thanks guys, here is the FC... currently no motor or trans, but I am looking for that 13bt. So far I have the TII front 4 piston brakes, OE 5 lug conversion, and other little things. Notice she doesnt have a sunroof :]

And here is my IS300, kind of old picture; she's lower now.
