TX New texan here

Hey everyone, im looking at getting into rotarty performance to build a track car.

My automotive background is in diesel performance currently i have a 96 f250 powerstroke that has a few mild upgrades and my project i built last summer.

A 300whp 545 ftlb 2000 vw jetta with a tdi engine in it ( yes a diesel)

Im currently going to school to be a mechanical engineer.

Im on this forum now because i want to build a fd rx7 for track days

I will be looking for a fd with problems. ( blown motor bad tranny ect ect) so i can completley rebuild it myself. ( to me building and fabricating is more enjoyable than acctualy using my cars)

Welcome to RX7CLUB.
Sound like you have a few fun toys there.
No better way to get to know a rotary than to rebuild one.
Good luck finding one that suits your needs.

Welcome...

As far as building a track day car it is the general consensus that you can always buy cheaper than you can build. So unless you are doing it for the experience of doing it yourself you should shop the forum's 3rd gen for sale section. If you are patient you will find something that is close to what you are looking for that you can bring home and tweak with all the money you will save.
