New, With a strange FC
I've admired FC's for a long time, And i got a chance to jump on one for 500.00 So I took the chance and did it,
However under the hood it's a little bit different.
never seen this kind of swap done before and it seems to make no sense since the 13b is faster, But I figured the car was worth the money in the shell alone.
Now all i'm left with is where to go from here.
I want to set my car up for drift, But the Volvo engine must go, I wanted some feedback from some other FC owners to see where i should go from here.
here's some pics of the body.

Smoke moar
I had to login to the IB ruined 7 club to post for ya mate.
that swap is great. Sure it may have slightly less hp then the 13b but you'd beable to go 100's of thousands of miles just replacing oil, coolant, and timing belt.
Now go to a junkyard, grab turbo parts from a volvo with same engine. You should beable to pull entire volvo turbo engine + wiring and computers from a 740/940 turbo for under 200 at any jy in the US.
Apparently the bosch volvo computers are simple to setup in another car, just need power and connect to engine I guess.
Then you'll have an extremely reliable car, with over 400rwhp potential without worrying about apex seals.
You sir have bought a lucky car, how did they bolt the engine up?!

Honestly I know nothing of the engine, It seems to have a lag when you hit the gas but i'm thinking its the carb since it's been sleeping for a while.
I did a little research on the engine, and it was a motor sport engine in the 80's It's running an auto trans, but my car was originally manual. Everywhere I go people have been like WTF?! I think I might swap back to 13b I'm still weighing my options.
It seems to have custom mounts made for the swap, everything has been wired correctly too, because my tach works. I'm still at a loss with what to do with it though.

that is awesome, i'd buy it just for the quirk factor.
i'd seriously consider doing what cmanns suggested if you feel the itch for some power.
best first posting thread i've read in ages.

First picture I was like, "Oh someone swapped in a piston engine."
Second picture : "SCHHWWAAAAHH???!!! Volvo?!!"
lol
Anyways, I would keep it like that just for the "WTF" factor lol. But yeah, those actually are not bad engines. Like the other poster said, you could possibly find the turbo stuff for that in another car and throw it all in there. If I were you I'd definetly keep that the way it is.

I'm considering a swap now, I'm starting school at UTI in a month, Basically whatever engine I can get my hands on and make tons of power, is what will be going in. I've since gutted the car, so theres currently nothing on the inside, I've done some carb adjustments as well. The engine is just so slow, I couldn't see myself keeping it. at best i'd say the engine is 100whp.

Interesting car, but its borderline sacrelige surely. I can understand LS swaps on FC's etc. Really though, in my opinion i'd only want a rotary lump under the hood.
How about sticking a RX8 renesis engine in there

I'd keep it but in it's current state, IT couldn't pass a Geo Metro.
Dose anyone know anything about this engine?
A buddy was telling me that they use the head on this engine on a 4 cyl Mustang engine, and that people have made 400whp with it.
Is it possible that i could already have the block?
If anyone knows anything about it I'd really like some information on it.
Edit, The head is a DOHC head, I found some info on it, so it's not mine.
But..
Still there must be something i don't know about this engine.
For some reason someone went through the trouble of swapping it, there's something to it right?
