FL new to site

hey my name is mike and i just bought a 1988 mazda rx7 convertable and im having some engine trouble, looking for a good mechanic in the tallahasseee fl area if possible but advise would be great, when i bought the car about a week ago it started but ran rough due to ctalytic converter leaking, but i went to start it today and it started and died right after due to the cold, then it wouldnt start at all it just turns over and almost fires every once in a while but i drained the battery trying to start it and need to know if its possible to fix it or if a rebuild is going to be needed please help im not real familuar with the rotary engine

Hi there

Sounds to me like your thermo switch is going out.

Either way, you can consult the regional section and see about a rotary mechanic in your area. They also have a list of shops in the Florida area.
