Just bought my 88 FC this summer...... So far it's been a lot of fun, haven't had to fix much of anything on it yet, but still do have some things to figure out..... Gotta get the A/C fixed before next summer (it gets HOT here in Sacramento during the summertime!!!), also looking into that wonderful 3800 rpm hesitation that i've read so much about I'm also kinda new to modding a rotary, what can be done to make it go faster without screwing with the emmisions system too much (thank you again California!!!)......

As far as Ca goes there is nothing much that you can do to make your car faster that will comply with Ca emission laws.

The only thing that comes to mind is an engine swap from a TII (Turbo engine) from your year or later as long as all of the emission equipment goes with it.
