KS Just another new guy!

Sorta kinda. Recently bought a 94' touring from a board member. It's a work in progress. I grew up around the RX7. My oldest brother owned a '80 and also an '83. He hand built an awesome wide-body kit from scratch as I watched. He now owns a multi-million dollar composites company making parts for aircraft manufactures and military contracts. It all started with the RX7!
I bought a mocha 86' while in high school from my math teacher and managed to roll the car 3 times only 3 months after owning it. Luckily, I wasn't hurt and was fortunate enough to replace it with a beautiful white '87 with a sport package for the same money the insurance gave. Had the car for 4 years and loved every mile. Went off to a couple more years of College in Idaho and had to buy a 4x4 (Mazda of course!).
I returned to KS and got married in '96. Wife got pregnant in '98 which scared the hell out of me that I might be getting too late in life to ever own a sports car again. So, I frantically searched for a '93+ RX7 that I could afford. Didn't find that, but I did run across a '93 turbo MR2 that needed some tranny help. On the day after finding out that my wife was pregnant with our second child, I tore the engine out of the car even though nothing was wrong with it to build it up the way I had dreamed. Notice a trend??
10 yrs later, I still own that car which is becoming a monster piece by piece after a 6yr build. got about $80k in her and need another $15k to finish her up. My brother fell in love with my MR2 and had to have one of his own. So, we have a '95 turbo that I work on as well.
After 6 years, that RX7 bug never left me. So, About 3 months ago I talked to Trever and sealed the deal to buy one of his two RX7's in Omaha. Good condition that needs a little TLC. Plan to make it a daily driver, but needs some work in a few areas.
So, how do I afford to keep a $95k MR2 and buy and restore a '94 RX7 you might want to know? Well, back in '02 when I dropped the engine in the MR2, I had the same question. So, I took advantage of my mechanical knowledge from years of aircraft maintenance and technical know how, along with resources from my brother's booming business and created a part time business of my own called VMAX. I have been very involved with the MR2 forums and became an board vendor. It's been a wonderful community of people who love their cars. I see nothing short of the same here.
So, enough rambling, but I wanted to properly introduce myself if I intend to sell anything as well as learn something from you all. I really believe in relationship building and NOT just a sales deal. Feel free to ask around on the MR2 forum. I like to think my reputation is my best feature. I hope to not disappoint anyone here in that regard either. I've got some reading to do before I try to sell anything here though. I'm starting from scratch and have to remember that.
I look forward to learning more about this car I have wanted for half my life and getting to know all you gurus of FD knowledge.
Thanks!
