thanks! i was wanting an FB over an FC but not an fc (like i could afford one lol) or an rx8 >.> those things seem to have to many problems and are stupidly expensive to get more power out of so i opted for a first gen.

its an 82, not sure of the trim. it has the 12A so for sure no the SE. as for the cars history the guy didnt have perfect records but she is pretty much 100% rust free with only very minor surface rust, its a new mexico car her whole life. i even have the original dealer card from santa fe where it was bought from!

she hot starts perfectly with zero hesitation (about 1 second of crank before it catches everytime!) and i did a compression test at its around 85ish across both rotors (zero variation from rear and front rotor and none between rotor faces!). not sure about the cranking speed though. seemed about the same from everyelse crank speed ive seen.

when i got it i seafoamed it the next day with the spray AND put a full bottle into the tank. today i took a boroscope to it and there is still some carbon on the rotors themself. sadly i cant see the rotor housing at all. some of it looks like its just covered in carbon :/ in ideas on how to get rid of it?

Nice!

mine is also an FB. Trying to keep the thing all original is becoming very difficult! Hadn’t thought to borescope the engine. Great idea. Although I am scared of what I might find....
