New to rotary. rx7 fc vert 13b tii.

First rotary i've ever owned.

Got a already 'swapped' fc vert chassis with 170ks and motor supposedly 15k.
The guy put on a RB full tii exhuast with FCD. and 255 walboro.
Otherwise stock.

Car is not without its problems.
Engine missfires.
Floods all the time.
Idle is all over the place.
Replaced some broken coolings hoses and vaccumm lines under the intake now it overheats.

It will be a project for sure.

Welcome James. Do yourself a favor and ditch the FCD as soon as possible. A real ECU will make your life a lot easier, not to mention allow you to have a real, safe tune.

I was thinking of trying the rtek ecu tune. Seems like a good basic setup?

i do wish to go 720cc injectors on the secondary and maybe a different wastegate for this turbo. Looks very strange.

Eh, I started out with RTEK and was never more happy than the day I got rid of it . It's outdated, difficult to work with, finicky hardware, and no real tuner will touch it. The only real argument for it anymore is that it's cheap. You'll see all sorts of people making decent power with it and singing its praises, but again usually just because they already had it and it was cheap. Save your pennies for something like the Adaptronic PnP.

Oof that ecu is quite pricey. I guess I could start out with the Rtek just so I dont blow the motor and when the pennies are saved I can go to something better.

Thanks for the advise. Goal is just under 280whp by the end of may.
