FL New Rotary Head Joins the ranks

Helllo my new family! I am a proud owner of a recent 1990 RX7 that i purchased and embarked on a journey on Restoring this beauty. I have lots experience with cars but i'm new when it comes to rotaries. I look forward to all the Support (and Parts) that i will get from these forums to help me on the life long dream of mine to build an RX7!

The car has no motor. So I embark upon the mission of finding a Series 5 turbo 2 swap. I very soon realized that's not going to be a simple (nor cheap) task. My end goal with this car is do some circuit racing with this car, maybe SCCA? However that's going to be years from now. For now im going to enjoy the emotions of Joy (and frustration) hat comes with building such a vehicle. Its the car I've always wanted to build and am super excited about it!

I think it will be a fun build and you will learn a lot along the way. You will have a deep appreciation for the car when you're finished and the knowledge gained will build more confidence to buy another and do another build or restoration.

Congrats on the project. When you decide to get into SCCA down in FL, shoot me a PM. I have a friend who is pretty active in it right now.

I'm located in South Florida, Broward county more specifically. Any word of wisdom, or caution when it comes to getting a turbo 2 swap? i.e. things to look out for or avoid. Recommended shops?
