New to Rotary.:D Belgium guy

Hi guy's my name is jeroen And im from Belgium. Bought my self a pretty Nice rx7 last week. Rust free And verry clean. But There are a few problems. I havent heard it yet bit of a gamble. The previous owner has had it for 15 years but has never started it once. (Weird?) im going to pick it up next week And i am planning on firing it up. Are There things i should look for first before i do this? I checkt the fluids And everything lookt perfect. So what do you guy's say? Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Feel free to move it if it has to. Thanks

Clean the fuel tank and put new fuel
Pretty sure you don't want to use that old fuel...

Fuel tank has been cleand And New fuel has been but in it. Changed al the fluids Every thing but the spark plugs. Cant seem to get them here so i orderd them of racing beat. But now i have a nother problem tje intake is corroded inside. The trottle disks have turned green. So dont know the State of the rest. She runs fine on idle but when i touch the gas she dies buy if i push the trottle slightly she wil rev net when inleg of the gas i get huge backfires And she also doesnt start normale you need to spray starter fluid. Could this be a vacume line problem or ignision problem? I have no qlue.

probably cheek all wires and pins. Clean them, ring them.. i bet the trouble would be in electric connections. Also you should measure compression in engine. But I'm personally not experienced how to do that in that rotary :/

Don't be afraid. Car would run, just got fingers crossed. When I put new engine in my FD took a while before technics told me they don't have a clue why the heck it doesn't want to start. However engine was running and tested by me personally on other car. So I asked quite experienced dude named Higgi on this site and he transported the car to his shop. I donno what he does to it, but probably it was wrong pin lost somewhere and he cashed me quite something for our doesn't know how

We knew our plugs doesn't fire. We put them out, and tried to start for a while and another guy controlled it. Also we tried to test if there is a fuel pressure, and there was. Only plugs didn't fire and car used to run smoothly before. I hope your car would live long and you would figure out what's goin on with it.

TIP: now I know you are very tired already, that's the worst part. But keep it going and you'll find it. Soon it started up, all be good. All be good when you test drive this first time.. just run it around.. But after you kick some km in it, give a freespace.. you'll immediately would run fast.

Fuel filter clogged? Maybe the fuel resistor relay not working? Its located at the right front headlight below the air filter. does it have ignition on all plugs? Just to get it runing you can use some cheap hot plugs. once its running probley put in the new plugs you got from racingsbeat. it would be silly to flood the crap out of the new plugs =)

imo the one and only good swap would be a turbo II swap =)

if the problem is ignition related it will still not work. so first check if the issue is fuel or igintion and work from there. maybe the very first this to check is if it actually still has compression

A trained ear can say a lot from just cranking it over.. Do you have the means to transport the car? Otherwise you could come by one time and we can have a look at it.. (I have the idea you were the guy that called a while back for s throttle body..?)

Lol yes i know that, as I said I was assuming you were the one that called my father concerning a FC NA throttlebody and he told u we only have turbo parts but that nonetheless there would be a chance it could fit.
