New right hand drive FD owner
Hey everybody, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dave and I've recently bought a right hand drive '92 RX7 from Japan.
I've spent the last few months trying to clean it up/restore it, it had a Sparco knockoff racing seat and a Momo woodgrain steering wheel/shift **** set that I've swapped out for a stock seat, a Japanese non-airbag stock steering wheel and Japanese 5 speed RX8 shift ****. Mechanically I've replaced the clutch and repaired a few oil leaks. This forum seems great and really knowledgeable.
I'll probably make a post about this in the newbie tech section but the car has been bucking and jerking at part throttle and as soon as I hit 5000 rpm at WOT in second gear it feels like the car has hit a wall, also the catalytic converter heat light comes on when its warmed up. can anyone help me diagnose this problem? I think I may have a bad cat but thats only a guess. Thanks guys
