New Project

Hi All,
Been lurking for a few weeks, finally decided to create an account. Bought this 1985 RX-7 GS from my wife's uncle. It's been sitting in a barn for the last 15 years, but started right up (minimal starter fluid required, barn cats kept the mice away luckily). He replaced the brakes, distributor, plugs, and checked all fluids, but it obviously needs some work to be road worthy. Going to be my project as I slowly learn the ins-and-outs have time to work on it.

First on the list:
  • New tires
  • Replace clutch master/slave cylinders
  • Replace battery cables
  • Fix broken headlight motor

Thanks! It has about 125k miles. I'm technically the third owner, but my uncle bought it from one of his friends when it was new. I think he just parked it because he didn't have the space, but couldn't part with it.

Interior looks great, but the engine bay needs some cleaning and attention lol.

That's a beautiful Tender Blue Metallic GS!!! The car appears to be in great shape and I have no doubt that it will clean up nicely! Why was the car stored so long?

Thanks, I'm loooking forward to tearing into it! This will be my first "project" car. I believe it was just stored in the barn because my uncle didn't have space to park it, but didn't want to let it go! It's basically a family heirloom now haha.
