DE New Potential Owner of an FC to the forum

Hey everyone, my name is Josh and I am about to purchase a 88 Mazda RX7 N/A ... Its been sitting for 10 years and just started for the first time yesterday... Only 3 tries and Holding the engine speed up at about 2200rpm for 3-4 minutes and it idled and purred, but the clutch is now stuck to the bottom of the floor, it'll come back up but not without help. So I'm gonna buy a new master and slave cylinder for the clutch's system. Any other suggestions besides a tune up and a shake down? First time I have ever dealt with a Wankel Rotary Motor and Matching 5 speed.

Welcome to the Forum Josh,You are on the right track with the clutch.
I would also be careful about any of the brake components too as they have rubber seals that would deteriorate over that long time that the car was stored.
Please feel free to post up any Car related questions in TECH,as This is just the Introduction section.Any Tech question will attract others and get answered rather quickly by our "Expert group" of Rotary Enthusiasts!

I'm not sure about your state, but you better check what it will cost to register that car before you buy it. Some states require you to bring the registration up to date, which means you'll have to pay for 10 years of registration to put the title in your name.

... Delaware, and no its going to be a state to state transfer, it $40 per year here in DE. I buy sittin oldies all the time and fix em and sell em, make 'em my daily drivers as well, so they have to be registered. I have yet to run into that problem. The only problem i foresee is... I don't want to give up this beautiful car.
