New Owner - 1988 GXL

I finally found a really nice FC. Its a 1988 GXL that seemingly has every option from the factory except the CD player. Got it from the 3rd owner, and it only has a Carfax-verified 47,000 miles on it.

Only problem I have with it right now is that a previous owner hollowed out the catalytic converter and removed the stock exhaust manifold (catback is all stock). I'm going to keep the headers and work with a high flow cat for right now to quiet it down, as it's very obnoxious when you step on the gas. My intent is to get a full racing beat exhaust for it.

I'm sure I'll have thousands of questions and am glad this forum exists.

Welcome!! A very stunning example for sure and with 47k miles, a rare find! Do you know any of the car's history? Would love to see more pictures of the car!

Thanks! I'm really enjoying it so far.

I know the car was purchased in Pennsylvania....I have the original owners manual packet from the dealership with all their business cards. It has been constantly driven over the years, just not for many miles. The leather on the drivers seat isn't perfect, but all the support is still great. The guy who had it before me had previously had a 1991, so this one currently has S5 tail lights and I got an S5 rear spoiler in the deal too, along with the original tail lights.

The rubber trim on the passenger door has peeled away and I have to get that straightened out in addition to the exhaust.

Oh, and I put some 1991 S5 rims on it to replace those Enkei's.
