New to motor swaps

so im tryiing to do a motor swap..well i have already started...and im finding things out as i go aloong.
im putting a 2nd gen turbo in a 83 1st gen body.
can anyone help me in letting me know what will i need to make this work as easy as possible.
i would consider my self a decent mechanic and i havent worked on a rotary engine since i was 14.
this is my first car and i want to upgrade shaneqa( dat my rx7 name)
so far i have tried to fabricate motor mounts and have failed misserabley. so now i want to take a different route like doing the front cover swap but what are the dissadvantages and what will work the best. The motor im putting in is a 91 single turbo.
SOMEONE PLEASE ADVICE ME IN THE BEST, QUICKEST WAY OF DOING THIS.

there's no need to make motor mounts, https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...+cover+12a+13b this should be the same procedure for a t2
