Hey all,
I currently am not a RX-7 owner yet, but I hope I will be soon. I've been obsessed at looking at these cars in particular the FD's. I know I know absolutely nothing about these cars yet but I want to learn as much as I can before I decide to buy one. I was thinking about getting more of a cheaper, stock RX-7 and learning/building my way through it instead of spending more initially on an already modded RX-7. I know the modifications would eventually cost a lot in the long run but I was wondering if anyone had any take on this. Any help and info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nate

Hi Nate,
In general I think it's fine to buy a car that's been modified as long as its already in the direction you plan on going. No point in buying something that you'll have to tear down and fix from the last owner, but if it comes equipped with some mods that you've already had in mind then why not. Can't buy experience though so stock might be better if you really want to get into the guts of it all. I hope you have good luck on your hunt!
