hey guys,
my name is Kory, alias is Bob, just bought my first mazda, 1993 Rx7, red, automatic, 110k miles.. car currently doesn't run but i bought it as my new project car, so i'm excited to get my hands dirty!!
Glad to be a member here, seems like a respectful and reputable forum, so far, good to see bashing and sh*t talking kept to a minimum.. i'm going to start a build thread to hear member's opinions and show my progress!!

well guys, after a long time setting, and waiting on closing date to come on my new house, i finally decided to troubleshoot the rx7.. i was trying to hold off until i could get closed and moved in so i could put it in the new garage but i got antsy!

i bought the car under the impression that the apex seals were probably gone, the owner i bought it off of thought the same, well after not touching the car since i bought it (march), i finally decided to do a compression test..PASSED with flying colors! well, i didn't stop there, pulled the plugs blew the old gas out of the rotary, added a little ATF and she CAME TO LIFE! flooded..for 2 years! that was it..now time for a tune up, new fuel, and take it for a spin! Needles to say i feel pretty lucky today!!

Nice job Kory. Glad you found it to be in running condition. Looks like I will be out your way this weekend for the NHRA TVN in Bristol.

Welcome and can't wait to see some pictures as well. Haven't seen many automatics where I'm from.

Yep I had a blast up there this weekend. Didn't realize Force now has 97 daughters that race. Haha. I won't be crying tyranny if you go LS1. You'll love it!
