Hello everyone! My name is Jordan and I am currently living in Rialto. I recently traded my 2002 Mazda Miata for a 1989 Mazda RX-7 (GTU). I was very nervous about making the trade since it will need to be my daily driver until the end of the year. However, it has put my unease to rest for the most part knowing that the engine was recently rebuilt. So far the only real plans are to go through every bit of maintenance I can think of and then start carefully modifying it to meet my needs. Looking forward to learning a lot more about the RX-7 and rotaries in general from all of you and hopefully getting the chance to make some new friends. I will try to gt some pictures posted up a bit later on today. Thanks!
I'm surprised how many people I've met that think daily driving an RX is a bad idea. Since these motors get commonly rebuilt, I'd think that being able to daily drive one comes down to the quality of the build, driving habits and maintenance.
