Hey everyone, my name is Jean (pronounced like the french name, not the denim)! I live in Shoreline, which is just north of Seattle.

While I don't currently own an RX-7, I have been dearly missing and am very nostalgiac for my first (and third) cars which were an '81 and '85.

My wife and I recently bought our first house, and now that I have a garage wouldn't it be awesome to have another RX to park in there while I tinker with it?

Right now we only have one car between us, a 2009 Mazda 3 hatchback. While that car is awesome, I really miss the sound of a revving rotary engine. Haven't had a chance to try out an RX-8, but honestly I still just love the look of the 1st gen RX-7 more than anything. Maybe someday!

Till then I'm just hanging out and reading up about all the cool things people have done to my favorite model of car!

Welcome to the club and in my opinion, go with an rx7 and skip the rx8! The coolness factor is increased tenfold

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! My better half has approved me shopping for an RX-7, so I'm gonna keep an eye out around the area. I already see a few prime canditates with really low miles! I'll make sure to post some pics and info after I find the right one!

Took the day off work and went for a bit of a drive... but came home with my new FB! She's a 1985 GSL... with 27K original miles! Leather seats doing fine, no cracked plastic, power windows, steering, everything all original and working. Just drove her 100 miles back home through the mountains and it was a blast!

Super nice car man, congrats! Did you come across any other decent ones? I am in Portland OR, would love to get my hands on one similar to what you've got!

Thanks!

This was the first one I actually went to look at in person, and was about a 2.5 hour drive away at that. I'd say just be patient and keep watching Craigslist.

I've bought a lot of guitars and music equipment in recent years as well, the good deals always seem to be about a 2 hour drive away in the rural areas!
