Hi everyone! Name's Aurick Go from Manila. I've recently acquired a '99 RX-7 FD, and it's a huge step for me since i've been wanting to own an RX-7 ever since I was in my teens. (A little over a decade ago, I suppose )

Given the general lack of knowledge about rotaries in our country, my resources are very limited in terms of expertise, parts, and pretty much people to run to. Heck, some buddies of mine are probably already judging me for my life choices hahaha! Despite all these setbacks, i'm dead set on owning and building my car into something I can take regularly on spirited runs and to an occasional track day.

That said, I'm hoping to make your acquaintance and to learn from what everyone has to say here. Cheers!

Welcome. This is a great forum to learn from. Any pics? I always wondered how many fd's were in the Philippines (my home country).

Well, i've been seeing a few running FC's and FD's around Manila, by few I mean my fingers are enough to count them So far now though I have a couple friends who also run FDs. I'm actually trying to dig around and see if there's a community for rotaries locally, would be of great help if there were. Figured if I logged on here i'd learn a lot by myself first though

Right now i'm actually in the middle of turning the car over from its previous owner, will post photos once it's in my hands!

Hello again! I've finally gotten my RX-7, it's currently at a friend's house since my garage is still under renovation. Here are a few photos of it:

It's been fettled with a bit, most notably with a custom V-mount setup. It's still running the factory twins (that I plan to keep for the meantime) and cooling which I plan to address first. Management consists of an Apex'i Power FC, and it appears I may have to find someone who knows their way around this ECU locally. It also comes with a Vertex front bumper as well as a neat set of RPF-1s and HKS Hipermax Coils all around.

The car's definitely rough around the edges, and it appears i'll be in this for the long haul! Hope I can learn from everyone's experiences through this forum, cheers and thanks for looking!
