SC New member, old car, big plans.

Hey, my name is Sean I'm from South Carolina. I've been a proud RX-7 owner for almost 15 years. I have owned about 7 FB's(4 were part car's) and 1 FD. I currently own an 84 GSL and a 93 R1 that I just purchased last week. The 84 GSL's current motor has been in 3 different chassis's. The R1 has some cosmetic mods but is pretty much stock under the hood. The FD unfortunately has a parts only title and can't be registered.

My first FB was an 83 Limited Edition, unfortunately it was from NY and had extreme decay. Ended up stripping the badges and LE wheels and sent it to the retirement home. Second FB was also an 83 but a GS version. That one got rear ended, so it got stripped and sent away too. Third one (current FB) is an 84 GSL with a bunch of goodies. After several years I started have reliability issues and put the car in storage and it has been there for the past 4 years. Recently decide to revive the project but will be going in a much more aggressive direction. Plan is to swap in the motor and tranny (after being rebuilt) from the FD into the FB. Then overhaul and restore the FB.

84 GSL Setup: Wild Street Ported 12a, 70 Shot Nitrous, Holley 650 Double Pumper Carburetor, Racing Beat Intake, Racing Beat Road Race Header, Racing Beat Front and Rear Modified Stationary Gears, Racing Beat Light Weight Rotors, Racing Beat Street Port Exhaust, Mazda Race Rotor Bearings, Carbon Race Apex Seals, MSD 6A Ignition, MSD SS Coils, Racing Beat Aluminum Flywheel, Racing Beat Street/Strip Pressure Plate, ACT Extreme Clutch, Modified GSL-SE Rear Differential, Racing Beat Suspension Package (never installed), 8 Point Roll Cage.

I don't really have many photos of the build and really regret it now. Here is a few recent pics after pulling from storage.

Torn up 83 LE seats.

93 R1 Setup: Bought this car for the motor and tranny. Not really sure on it's mods besides a blow off valve and apexi FC controller. I know it runs and drives just doesn't have a clean title.

I also own a 04 Acura TL. This is my daily thus all it's mods are cosmetic. By far the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned.

Just picked up a Turbo II from a fellow member a couple days ago. Was planning as using it for my donor but I'm now gonna use it for my build project.

I bought it with full knowledge that it was having issues running: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...es-lot-941741/
I have got it to start but still having the same issues. I can keep it running by revving but it just bellows out huge clouds of white smoke along with a few plumes of smoke from what looks like several nipples/hoses from under the hood. The other major things I noticed was a small oil leak from the front of the oil pan and from what looks like the rear of the turbo. I know i need to check the oil feed and drain lines for leaks. Any ideas or a direction to point me in.

I have tried searching with no luck. Can anyone point me to the rats nest removal and block off DIY tutorial? If there is such thing. There is a few hoses and nipples not blocked or plugged and I'm not sure if they need to be or not.

The FD went to a good home. The guy that bought it has a clean title roller.

It spent most of the time stored in the shop. Pulled it out so we had more space. Car was 100% drivable just couldn't register because of the title.
