Hey guys just want to say that this has been my dream car since I was a little kid (Fast Getaway 2) and a sports car calendar sparked my interest. If I saw one on the street, I'd stalk it and steal my parents camera and snap pictures to pin up on my walls.
I come from an era of ricers and idiots racing but I will not fall into either category. I found a Chaste White Touring FD on Cars.com with 85k miles and paid for it without even checking it out. It needs minor bodywork and a complete engine overhaul (Go figure) Good news- Oil seals went and not the apex seals (yet) I plan on replacing the seals, going 3mm apex seals from ____? forgot who but they have never failed (yet) I also plan on an aggressive street port while the little guy is open.
Question:Atkins 13b rebuild kit: $1400 Too much for me---- Can I get away with just the Oil seal kit and Apex seal kit?? ($700)
Pics::

Didnt pick her up yet but can't wait
Its all the way out in WV and I am having trouble arranging shipping and with the holidays around the corner, its real tough
Love the site- Been a fan since '04 but figured I'd start a new username because I actually have the car now.
Look forward to interacting with everyone on the forum. I used to be real active on Audizine (Rosati) having come from an A4 GT28RS (400 chp) I built in my driveway- I know what a vital resource these forums can be.
Best,
Rob

Thanks guys
Yes, 3mm were the "old fashioned" fix to the apex seal problem . Now there's RA super seals and thats what I'll be using.
If you havent noticed the dent on the rear decklid, its there, is that going to be hard to fix/expensive??

World of FD's meaning expensive right? haha
1994 87k miles Touring package minus rear wiper
Wow you have a 95! Even more rare!
276 produced in '94 (rare)
50 in 95? Something like that ( Extremely rare)
Nice find. If it were me, I would clean it up to new and then build the most reliable twin turbo I could. You will find that 300-350 hp is more than enough power. imho
And welcome.

I actually planned on doing the same. Keeping the stock twins as long as they last on a mild tune.
Actually want to enjoy it stock and then make small progressions
Before all, Build a reliable motor..
Edit: Its a Base model, Not touring (No foglights or Rear wiper)

Actually, not taking it anywhere but my buddy's garage. He has worked on his Turbo 2 motor in the past.
I ordered both the Rotary aviation DVD's on how to pull the engine and rebuild it just so there aren't any question marks.
The guys speak highly of IRPerformance in Metuchen, NJ
