Jumping in the forum lake!
I inherited a garage-kept 93 touring model about 18 years ago that we've loved and driven occasionally. We've loved it so much that when this 93 R1 that needs some work became available, I had to jump on it.
Currently in the middle of an alternator swap on the Touring model, and who knows what else on my "new" R1. It sat for about 2 years, but woke up after I flushed the fuel, oil, and replaced the battery. I believe it's throwing an 11 code among other issues. I have another thread started for it to get confirmation.
Here's a few shots of the R1 after a full day of detailing. Paint is not so great. Lot's of oxidation, so there's some decisions there as to what to do. All in all, it's straight, no rust, and will be a fun 2nd project.
Anyone want to buy a boat!?!
