Hey all,
My name is Clayton!

Just got my first rx7 today. Traded my super clean mx73 for one. I was tired of driving such a big car that would never have any performance capabilities. So I decided I would get an rx7.

I have an 89 GTU. Plans as of now are to get coilovers and wheels and buy a spare 13b to build/turbo. AlsoI need to clean the inside out, I want to get new carpet, or just rip it out and have it gutted. Roll cage and I have a front strut bar installed, and I have a rear on that I need to install, but I have to do a bit of cutting from what I observed. I am super stoked about being in a rotary. I have a ton of stuff to learn but that is why I am here. Thanks!

My old Cressy.

Traded for this:

The headlights dont go down, and the windshield wipers only work on the setting I. I am sure I can find some stuff by searching.

Thanks Grand7. I stripped the Corbeau seats out, they weren't in there very good and I didn't feel safe. They were also too big for the car. The interior is not so clean, guy didn't tell me he was a smoker, or there was a smoker in the car. Reeks of smoke and coffee, someone spilled coffee behind the seats and never got it cleaned up. Probably going to strip out that carpet once it stops raining up here and find some black carpet to put in. And I should have some coilovers pretty soon. As soon as I sell the seats.

Damn autocorrect, find a pair of FC seats. I've also seen a member on here I believe put 350z seats in his car with some modification to the rails, looked nice though a tight fit.

Whatever color the interior is, if you like it just strip it and pressure wash it. What coilover setup are you looking at?

Yeah, I got a decent pair of stock seats in. SOO much better. I cleaned the rugs today pretty well, just got in there and scrubbed with a brush and some soap. Smells better, which was my main concern. I am going to probably clean it again once this stupid rain goes away and we get some sun. Interior is blue, and its alrigh, id prefer black though.

I am looking at Megan Racing. I had them on my Cressida and I liked them. This car will most likely never see the track, or maybe once or twice. But it will mostly be street driven. I can get a set of Megans for 800$ shipped so its a great deal.

Did you buy that from the Bothell Import Service on Bothell Everett Highway? I live in Bothell and he had one sitting in the back for a while that looked just like that.

Welcome Clayton,
Man I miss living in the Northwest. It looks like Rotarys are really getting popular there now. A lot of new members seem to be joining from there.

Yeah I think the NW car scene is really expanding. It is pretty cool because you don't have to go very far for meets, and you see quite a few dope cars on the roads! I am just waiting for all this rain to finally go away!

Yeah I noticed that last time I visited, that the NW scene is growing rapidly. The scene down here in Charleston is kind of pathetic in comparison :/
I actually slightly miss the rain.. I always found it very relaxing. Plus it's already getting damn hot out here. 80 degrees and wicked high humidity.

Sounds like a plan, I'm looking at a Ground Control/Koni Yellow set up for mine. It's a bit more expensive but I heard nothing but praise from other folks for a light track/street car which is the direction I'm wanting to go in.

Have fun with the 7, learn as much as you can.
