Wink New member intro

Hello everyone, I am a college student in southern California looking forward to find a cheap fc to have as my first real project car.
Would you say that working on a an rotary is any more difficult or costly to maintain than a similarly aged piston car?

Difficult? I wouldn’t say more difficult but it’s apples and oranges when talking piston, vs rotary. Costly only because it will nickel and dime you lol at least from my experience.

Welcome! Be patient and you can find a good low mileage FC to start from. Lots of good info on this forum!

What's your experience level with other cars?

I've been watching the prices of rx7s on craigslist for years now. There's definitely been some I regret not snagging but what can I do about it now? lol just gotta stay patient.

I do all the basic maintenance on my current daily, a Z3. I've also replaced the brakes and rotors. And last summer I helped my dad replace the transmission in a Ford Explorer. Not terribly much but not nothing
