New Member, First RX7
Hey Guys,
Thought I would introduce myself. My name is Mike and I recently purchased my first RX-7. It is actually the first non - Honda I have ever owned. I have been working on cars for 13 years and have built plenty of them, the last of which is a HPDE prepped Civic Si. Although this is very fun and capable car I have always loved the FD body style and RWD was something new to me so when the opportunity to buy a 94 R2 roller came up I couldn't help but bring it home. As of right now I am not 100% sure of my plans but sticking with my roots and making it Honda powered is high on my list. I am hoping to learn a lot on this forum since the chassis is brand new to me.

Welcome!
I can guarantee that won't be a problem. There's a plethora of knowledge here to say the least; you just have to do a little digging for it sometimes.
What are you thinking of throwing into the FD? An H22, K20...? I don't know that I've ever heard of a Honda swapped RX-7, but I'm sure someone has done it.

I like Honda engines, would love a B18C swapped Miata but again engine spins the wrong way.

One of the downsides of the F20 is that without going forced induction it would be a lot of time and money to have about the same or maybe even less HP than the car had stock, but having the Honda reliability would be nice. Not to mention forced induction can always be done later.

Hahaha its on stock springs with no engine or trans so ya, its pretty high. It's funny how different it looks like this compared to one that is lowered. It makes this small car look not so small.

Also, for anyone interested here is a picture of my Si. I basically picture building the FD in the same way but just with a whole new platform. TE37s, a roll bar, a bucket seat, and nothing I don't need. It may be difficult to gut the FD because of the really nice all black interior but I guess I will see what happens.
