I'm in NC, originally from OH.
I've owned an RX8 as well when they came out (2004 Lightening Yellow!) and I've always been fascinated by them. Anyhow, I've always wanted a convertible and loved the looks of the FB/FC and finally found a great local 88 white convertible. Since its the south, no rust and its a great starting point. I wanted a turbo, but my need for a convertible took priority. Busy cleaning it (heavy, like carpet and all seals out now) to get the almost 30 years of grime out. Looking forward to working on it with my son!

 

Sounds like a great starting point! Would love to see pictures of the car when you had a chance! What part of Ohio are you from?

 

Here are a few after cleaning it. Needs some TLC, but got it at a great price and only has 108k miles. Clean title, rust free southern car. I have yet to decide exactly where I want to go with the build. Right now I am in clean 30 years of pollen and grime from everywhere. Carpets should all be out this weekend. The convertible top is almost off as well.

That's a beautiful FC!!! Very clean for the age! Well bought! Akron is about an hour from me so you were relatively close.
