BC New member from BC

Hey everyone, my name is Monica and I'm from Victoria, BC. I just bought my first car: a silver 1988 Mazda rx-7 GXL with a 13b TII S5 engine swap, and I'm looking forward to getting advice on how to make my car even more awesome. Thanks

Well, welcome aboard to RX-7 Club, Monica, and it actually sounds like you got the hardest part done on getting your car to "awesome"! There's going to be a lot of opinions on making it faster but I'd go suspension first since the TII engine is in the car.

But that's just me.

Quite welcome. Get some pictures up of this acquisition....and what's the story on how and where you got it plus why? There's gotta be an interesting story behind this since we don't exactly boast a female representation on this site that mirrors any population group on this planet.

Far and few between and always appreciated especially since you're saving another RX-7 from the old crusher.

Hey Hey Monica! Welcome to the club :-)
I hope to make it west one day, so beautiful.

Funny, I own an 88 silver GXL and am hoping my s5 TII swap is done within the next 12 months God willing!

Does it have the 4x4 seats?
Sunroof working?
Signal light not falling off?

There are a few things that seam to break on our old cars but a little TLC and they are a joy to drive.

Mar3: I'll probably be able to get some pics up today or tomorrow, just have to find a camera lol. I was looking for a late 80's/early 90's rwd sports car to learn about/work on this summer. I wasn't specifically looking for an rx7, but I found a super clean one for sale in Nanaimo, and after reading about them and going to see it, I knew that was gonna be my car.

88durel: Good luck with the swap! And, no to the seats, sunroof works if u give it a push, signal light's fine

jaggermouth: Yeah it's got a microtech lt-10. Did you see my fc when it was for sale on used vic?

Yup, seems like a great deal. Hopefully there will be some meets this spring and summer.
